The archipelago
is located in northwestern New Guinea bird's head, with about 1500 small
islands and atoll and 4 of the main islands, namely Misol, Salawati, Bantata and
Waigeo. The area is approximately 4 million square acres of land and sea - including
the vast gulf of Paradise - making it the largest marine park in Indonesia.
Biodiversity and marine life of Raja Ampat is the most rich and diverse from all areas of marine parks in the region of the world's coral triangle, Filipinos - Indonesia - Papua Nuigini. Coral triangle is at the heart of wealth the world's reefs are protected and defined by International nature conservation protection.
